Edition notes: The original order of staves is Tenor - Alto - Soprano - Bass, with the Soprano and Bass bracketed together with small notes between for keyboard accompaniment, and with the bass vocal part figured. This accompaniment and figuring have been omitted from the present edition. The Tenor and Alto are both printed in the source in the treble clef an octave above sounding pitch. The first verse only of the text is given in the source: the four other verses from the text which are given in Roby's Selection have here been added editorially.
