Latin text

Roráte caéli désuper, et núbes plúant iústum:
aperiátur térra, et gérminet Salvatórem.

Ps. 18: Caeli enarrant gloriam Dei:
et opera manuum ejus annuntiat firmamentum.

Gloria Patri et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto:
Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in sæcula sæculorum. Amen.

For Votive Masses in Advent the psalm verse Benedixisti Dominum is used in place of Caeli enarrant.

Ihr Himmel, tauet von oben herab, und ihr Wolken, regnet den Gerechten.
Die Erde öffne sich und aus ihr sprieße der Heiland.

Ps. 18: Die Himmel sprechen von der Ehre Gottes,
Und das Firmament verkündet die Werke seiner Hände.

Ehre sei dem Vater und dem Sohn und dem heiligen Geist,
Wie es im Anfang war, und jetzt und immer und in alle Ewigkeit. Amen.
