CPDL Work

I have reorganised the John Dowland page to amalgamate score pages and place links in a logical fashion.

I have adopted Hugo Wolf page under the adopt-a-composer scheme.

My editions

My work for the CPDL is entirely transcription; I am not a professional editor of music, but rather, I make occasional comments on my editions to the end that performances may be enhanced without detracting from the composer's published intentions. I aim for my transcriptions to be of the highest possible quality in terms of being technically correct (right pitch and rhythm of notes, etc.) and to be as clear as possible for singers and accompanist (if there is one). If you think that either of these aims are not met, please contact me on the above address and I will endeavour to correct any mistakes.

I am currently working to bring the following works to CPDL (in priority order):

  1. The Lord is my Shepherd (Charles Villiers Stanford) (in progress)
  2. Magnificat and Nunc dimittis in B flat (Charles Villiers Stanford) (in progress)
  3. Give unto the Lord, Psalm XXIX (Edward Elgar) (in progress)
  4. Serenade (Edward Elgar)
  5. Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis in A (Charles Villiers Stanford)

Education

  • I am currently in my third year of an English degree at the University of Leicester, UK.
  • I have taken and passed with distinction the ABRSM Grade 8 Singing exam.
  • I have been awarded the RSCM St. Nicholas award.

Background

I'm a student in the UK. My main preoccupations are eating, sleeping, drinking, singing, and occasionally doing editions for this amazing site. I've edited a few scores for choirs in the past and responded to some requests on CPDL.

I have sung with many choirs in the past, currently I sing with the Leicester Cathedral Choir as a choral scholar, in the Royal School of Church Music Millennium Youth Choir, and Coro Nostro, an independent chamber choir based in Leicester, singing music for music's sake.
