in quibus est belli tantus ubique metus; nempe alius non est
nunc pacem qui dare possit praeter te,
noster qui Deus unus ades.

Da pacem Domine, in diebus nostris;
quia non est alius qui pugnet pro nobis,
nisi tu Deus noster.

Almighty Father, grant us peace in these times
in which so great a fear of conflict is widespread; for now there is no other
who can deliver peace, except for thou,
who remains our one God.

Give peace in our time, O Lord,
because there is none other that fighteth for us,
but only thou, O God.
