French text Martin etant dedens un boys talix Avecq alix luy par doulce maniere Dist a martin derriere ce palix Tamye alix te faict damours priere Martin responsy si venoyt par derriere Quelque lourdault il nous seroyt vergougne  du cul dict el nous ferons signes arriere passes chemin laysses fayre besongne

French text  modernised Martin étant dedans un bois tailli Avec Alix, qui par douce manière Dit à Martin "Derrière ce paillis, T'amie Alix te fait d'amours prière". Martin répond: "Si venait par derrière Quelque lourdaud, il nous ferait vergogne". "Du cul", dit-elle, "nous ferons signes arrière; Passez chemin, laissez faire besogne!"

English translation So Martin's in this coppice With Alix. All lovey-dovey, Says she to Martin: "Your mate Alix wants to bonk you behind this compost heap". Martin replies "If some oaf approaches behind our backs, he'll embarrass us." She ripostes "So we'll wave back, you arse; Giddy up! On with the job!" (trans Timmi O'Danaos & Donna Ferrentes)
