All hail! to the plume that hath emblemed the story
Of Cambria’s endurance of old,
That white as the Snow on the peaks of Eryri,
Its purity claims to unfold!
An ensign unsullied o’er mountain and valley,
Triumphantly still may it soar,
In seasons of danger the valiant to rally,
Their trust when the danger is o’er.

Though telling of conquest in history’s pages,
The plume we would honour and prize;
More surely a nation’s affection engages,
When worn by the good and the wise.
Heaven grant, then, its wearer as onwards he presses,
May cherish the love he has won:
So, Wales shall rejoice in the Prince she possesses,
And England be proud of her son!
