English text
How the rain is falling down
On the roof and on the ground,
It is splashing, dashing, pattering,
As we rush along the pave;
Here a pool and there a rill,
And our way they almost fill,
As we hurry, quickly stepping
O’er the wet and slippery ground;
Now the stars through clouds are peeping,
And at home we’re lulled to sleeping,
By the gentle, soothing patter
Of the rain upon the roof.
