Уст твоих, якоже светлость огня возсиявши,
благодать вселенную просвети:
не сребролюбия мирови сокровища сниска,
высоту нам смиренномудрия показа,
но, твоими словесы наказуя, отче Иоанне Златоусте,
моли Слова Христа Бога спастися душам нашим.
Russian translation
Воссиявшая как светоч огненный
уст твоих благодать вселенную просветила;
нестяжания сокровище для мира ты собрал,
высоту смиренномудрия нам показал.
Но, словами твоими нас наставляя, отче Иоанн Златоустый,
моли Слово, Христа Бога, о спасении душ наших.
English translation
Grace shining forth from your lips like a beacon has enlightened the universe.
It has shown to the world the riches of poverty;
it has revealed to us the heights of humility.
Teaching us by your words, O Father John Chrysostom,
intercede before the Word, Christ our God, to save our souls!
