6 ego dormivi et soporatus sum exsurrexi quia Dominus suscipiet me

8 quoniam tu percussisti omnes adversantes mihi sine causa dentes peccatorum contrivisti

1 Lord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
7 Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
8 Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

1 Ein Psalm Davids, da er floh vor seinem Sohn Absalom.
2 Ach, HERR, wie ist meiner Feinde so viel, und setzen sich so viele wider mich!
3 Viele sagen von meiner Seele: Sie hat keine Hilfe bei Gott. Sela.
4 Aber du, HERR, bist der Schild für mich, und der mich zu Ehren setzet und mein Haupt aufrichtet.
5 Ich rufe an mit meiner Stimme den HERRN, so erhöret er mich von seinem heiligen Berge. Sela.
6 Ich liege und schlafe und erwache; denn der HERR hält mich.
7 Ich fürchte mich nicht vor viel Hunderttausenden, die sich umher wider mich legen.
8 Auf HERR, und hilf mir, mein Gott; denn du schlägst alle meine Feinde auf den Backen und zerschmetterst der Gottlosen Zähne.
