Végig, „El ne veszíts!“ Dávid emlékirása, mikor elküldött Saul, és őrizte az ő házát, hogy megölje őt.
Ments meg engem ellenségeimtől, Istenem! és a rámtámadóktól szabadíts meg engem.
Ments meg engem a gonosztevőktől; és a vérszopó férfiaktól szabadíts meg engem.
Mert ime megfogják lelkemet; rám rohannak az erősek;
és nincs gonoszságom, sem bűnöm, Uram! gonoszság nélkül futottam, és eligazodtam.
Kelj föl elém, és lásd ezt, és te, Uram, erők Istene, Izrael Istene! figyelj és látogass meg minden nemzetet; és ne könyörűlj senkin, ki gonoszságot cselekszik.
Visszatérnek estére, és éhséget fognak szenvedni, mint az ebek, és megkerűlik a várost.
Ime szájokkal szólnak, és kard van ajkaikon; mert ki hallja?
